Here is Magic, our first Havanese. He came to our house on Christmas Eve day 1999 from Silverdale Havanese (Don & Rita Stern, Virginia).
Magic is the youngest Havanese, that we are aware of, to take a Toy Group 1. Not a puppy group but the real thing. Magic earned his first points at exactly 6 months of age, by taking Winners Dog for a 3 point major. He picked up some smaller points during the month of May 2000. He received his Group 1 the end of May, 2000 and a Toy Group 3 the next day. By taking the Group the one day, he received a 4 point major.
Magic finished in July 2000. He showed through that fall and was then retired. He ended 2000 as one of the top 20 Havanese in the country in all breed points. Even at the age of 8, he has not calmed down at all and still goes full blast ahead.
The girls are trying to teach him obedience for their 4H project. This summer turned out to be unsuccessful due to lack of time and Magic's never ending energy. Hopefully next spring/summer will be different.
Magic is the sire of 2 litters - one to CH Silverdale's Double Fantasy (4 puppies in the litter, 1 champion in that litter) and the other to CH ERA's Pfabulus Formal Affair (4 puppies alive in the litter, 3 to be in show homes).
Magic is fully health tested. See his soaped pictures below. Magic is available to stud to select, health tested females. We wanted to make sure that he continued to clear his CERF's before opening him up to public stud. The nearest airport to us is the Des Moines International Airport in Des Moines, Iowa.
